Petrov Two Years More at Renault

Answered puzzle Vitaly Petrov future with the team Renault. Russian rider will certainly survive, after signing a two-year contract with the French team.

Indeed, Petrov was on the brink of dismissal following the inconsistency throughout the Formula 1 season 2010. Therefore, the Renault team asked him to show significant changes in the coming season, after being given the trust again.

Thus, Petrov would remain a tandem Robert Kubica. Although Kubica has not signed the contract, but the suspected driver from Poland was willing to extend their cooperation for the coming season.

Said team boss Eric Boullier, Petrov now have an opportunity to develop themselves, and prove that he says promises to deal with the 2011 season.

"We are very pleased to confirm that Vitaly will last for seasons2011 and 2012. Because of that, neither he nor the team, can realize the promise of 2010," says Boullier.

"Robert Kubica managed to do both, both speed and consistency, and we also believe Vitaly will get near that level next year."

The same thing also disclosed team president Gerard Lopez. He agreed, that the ability Petrov could still be raised again so that next season will achieve better results.

Meanwhile, Petrov own claim to be happy with the trust given Renault. He promised to improve its performance.

"I am very pleased to continue working together and happy to be vice Lotus Renault Grand Prix for 2011 and 2012 seasons," said Petrov.

"I learned a lot about sports, circuits and cars, this year. That will help me to make improvements in the future. I am very happy to be working again with a great team and I am sure I can achieve good results.

"2010 is the time to study and 2011 will be the moment of appearance. Today, I feel ready to participate in this competition."
